Louisiana America the Beautiful Quarter
The Louisiana America the Beautiful Quarter will be the twenty-seventh release of the series featuring National Parks and Sites from each of the states and territories. The quarter will be released in the year 2015.
Although the exact design for the quarter will not be known for some time, the site to be featured has already been selected as Kisatchie National Forest. This will be one of five National Forests depicted on the reverse designs of the new quarter series.
The United States Mint will prepare candidate designs for the Kisatchie National Forest Quarter based on source materials provided by a federal liaison. These will be reviewed by a number of committees and individuals prior to the final design selection by the Secretary of the Treasury.
